Masaru Andrew Higo, CPA
Masaru founded Concordia CPA with an intention to transform how small and mid-sized enterprises perform their accounting. Through a rich and diversified work experience in both public and corporate accounting, Masaru became acutely aware of how organizations were "stuck" in their outdated accounting practices, technologies, and processes. While other industries were quick to adopt new ways of doing things, accounting was a profession that was well behind the times.
Meaningful transformation starts with disruption. Masaru recognized the value that companies would gain from leveraging technology and simplifying redundant processes such as data entry, filing paper, and managing spreadsheets. To deliver on this value, he opened a professional accounting practice that would modernize the finance function of Canadian enterprises and save business owners time, stress, and money.
Through his tenure in public accounting and general affinity for working with people, Masaru gained a deep appreciation for, and understanding of, the importance of establishing and nurturing client relationships. He has taken this core value and embedded it into the fabric of Concordia CPA. Delivering exceptional client experiences is, was, and always will be a cornerstone of the firm's commitment to its clients.
